About Us

Our Mission

Wylde Landscapes started with a simple goal: to help the Perth community create beautiful, sustainable, water-wise gardens.

Born and bred in Perth, we understand our local climate, our soils, and our incredible biodiversity. Our focus is on designing functional, thriving outdoor spaces that work with our environment, not against it.

We aren't here to chase massive profit margins. Success for us simply means seeing more thriving, resilient native gardens across our local communities.

Behind the Business

Hi, I’m Emily, the founder of Wylde Landscapes.

This business is my side venture and a true passion project. By day, I work within a team of conservation scientists and botanists. Wylde Landscapes is my way of taking that rigorous, science-backed knowledge and applying it directly to residential backyards.

I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, alongside more than a decade of experience in environmental management. I’ve also undertaken formal studies in landscape design and spent years volunteering and working with leading national wildlife conservation organisations.

When I’m not working, I’m usually travelling Australia chasing wildflowers or finding ways to bring that natural wonder back home.

Why Go Wylde?

Traditional suburban landscaping often leans on expansive hardscaping, artificial turf, or thirsty exotic plants. While they might look neat initially, they can be damaging to our local environment, and miss a huge opportunity to contribute to a cleaner and greener landscape.

Choosing a native, water-wise garden offers a much smarter, more sustainable alternative with benefits including:

  • Natural Cooling: Unlike artificial turf and heavy paving - which trap heat and spike ambient temperatures around your home - native gardens naturally cool the local microclimate.

  • Water & Cost Efficiency: Exotic lawns and plants require massive amounts of water to survive a Perth summer. Once established, most local native plants thrive on minimal water, saving you time and money.

  • Living Ecosystems: Artificial grass and concrete offer zero support for local biodiversity. Native gardens provide essential food and habitat, actively bringing birds, insects, and local wildlife back into our suburbs.

  • No Toxic Chemicals: By working with nature rather than trying to force non-native species to grow, we eliminate the need for harsh, toxic chemical fertilisers and pesticides.

  • Science-Backed, Honest Advice: You get practical, knowledgeable design and advice rooted in environmental engineering and botanical science delivered at an affordable price.
